It's going to sound really stupid.

Basically... one day, this kid and I accidentally pissed of a kappa, and he made it so that we can turn into kappa, too. And we were helping him to collect these things called Dishes of Hope. If we collected five of them, we'd get a wish granted.

My wish... to help my brother.

We were close, but the dishes we collected got stolen. So it's back down to one.

Who stole them from you? Do you know?

I was collecting them with two guys. One of them got jealous and didn't want to use them for my wish, so he stole and hid the dishes we collected.

I don't know what happened after that. By that point I had to leave with my brother.

You can't collect more dishes by yourself?

We can only collect them in specific circumstances, and we don't know when those happen. So the time limit was until my brother had to leave the city.

Would threatening that petty jealous guy help?

By now, there's... not really a point anymore.

After our parents died, I decided to do everything to make sure my brother and I would stay together. The wish... it was our last chance so we can be together, but also stay in the city with those two. [ ... ] So it doesn't matter now.

Jinnai isn't that bad of a guy. He's selfish, but... he was also trying to protect something that was important to him. In his eyes, I was intruding on that. If he pulled something like that a few weeks ago, I probably would have kicked the crap out of him.

But I think now I'm just tired. And done.
